Elizabeth (Lizzy) Ellair
My name is Elizabeth (Lizzy) Ellair, and I am a first-year graduate student in the Psychological Science M.S. program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before coming to UTC, I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Broadly, my research interests involve exploring gender- and sexuality-based prejudice from an intersectional lens. I am excited to explore allyship and refine my interests in this area as a student in the CAAIR lab. After graduating with my M.S., I intend to pursue a PhD in Social Psychology and enter academia. When I'm not researching or studying, I enjoy gardening, baking, and watching musicals.
Maya Saxe
Hi all! My name is Maya Saxe, and I am a second-year Psychological Science grad student here at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I graduated from Reed College with a BA in neuroscience, and I am excited to be a part of the CAIIR lab. In particular, I am interested in looking at ways in which we can improve allyship messaging to target those from advantaged groups. After I graduate from UTC, I am planning on getting my Ph.D. in clinical psychology. In my free time, I enjoy buying way too much stationery and makeup, running along the riverwalk, and reading everything I can get my hands on.
Angelena Proffitt
I’m a second-year master’s student in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a graduate assistant in the CAAIR Lab. My research interests focus on employee engagement, motivation, and how allyship and inclusive practices can create belonging, well-being, and performance in the workplace. I’m passionate about using psychology to help organizations build environments where people feel supported and motivated to do their best work.
